FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is home care? Home care is health related services that someone receives in their own home.

2. Why choose home care? Home care allows the client to continue to enjoy the familiar surroundings and comfort of his/her own home while receiving the help he/she needs with the activities of daily living. Families can be assured that their loved ones are visited and cared for daily or according to the client’s individual needs. The cost of In Home Care is significantly less than placement in an Assisted Living Environment or Nursing Home. Care can be increased or decreased as the needs of the client change.

3. Is Home Care only for the elderly? No. We offer services to Elderly, Disabled, Handicapped, and Developmentally Delayed individuals.

4. How do I arrange for services? Call our office and our staff will answer any questions you may have and will schedule for someone to come out to the client’s home for a FREE CONSULTATION visit. After the initial visit, we will send an RN to access the care and write a plan of care to be placed in the home and followed by the caregiver.

5. Who Pays for Home Care? We accept Medicaid, Private Pay, and Long Term Care Insurance.

6. Does Medicare pay for services? No. Medicaid does pay for qualified individuals.

7. Can the client choose a caregiver? Yes. After the plan of care is complete, the client will begin interviewing caregivers and choose whom they like.

8. Will someone oversee the care? Yes. All care is under the direction of the agency RN. The RN will make quarterly supervising visits to ensure that the client’s needs are being met and will make any adjustments or changes to the plan as needed.
